Virtual Derm Clinic was created to improve access to physician-led skin assessments for Alberta residents through a secure and convenient online process.
Patients can submit their concern online for review by a licensed Alberta physician. When appropriate, recommendations may include self-care guidance, prescriptions, follow-up, referral for specialist dermatology consultation, or in-person medical evaluation.
The clinic is designed to support timely access to care while maintaining clear medical standards, patient privacy, and appropriate escalation when needed.
Virtual assessments may be appropriate for a range of common skin concerns including acne, eczema, rosacea, rashes, pigmentation concerns, and other non-emergency skin conditions.
Some concerns may still require in-person examination or specialist assessment. If this is recommended, patients will be guided toward the appropriate next step.
